Hastings Cub visit

By Lucia - Posted on 12 June 2009

On Tuesday 5 May 2009, The 6th Hastings Cub Scout group visited the Hastings Coastguard Station. There were about 16 Cubs with several mums, dads and Scout Leaders.

We gave them a general talk on the work of the Coastguard, did a question and answer session and then did a demonstration on cliff rescue techniques.

The young lad in the pictures is the  grandson of one of the coastguard officers and seeing it was his 9th birthday the following day,  he was "Volunteered" to be the casualty. Everyone had a brilliant time and were rewarded with pop and biccies for all their hard work.
