 We welcome all NHS and emergency service personnel for on and offline discounts.

The Blue Light Card Discount Service launched in late 2008 with an online discount scheme.  Our discount scheme provides NHS discounts, Police Service discounts, Fire Service discounts and Ambulance Service discounts online and for free.  This is through the large online discount directory.  Initially created for the NHS service and expanded to ensure all service personnel receive discounts and not just the NHS. 

In January 2009 The Blue Light Card launched its High Street Discount Scheme.  This discount scheme provides the emergency services and NHS with discounts on the high street using the unique High Street Discount Card. 

Hundreds of companies have signed up to the discount schemes both online and on the high street to provide discounts to the NHS and emergency services.  We all believe the work of the NHS and emergency services should not go unrewarded and are showing their gratitude through NHS discounts & emergency service discounts.  These discounts can be free gifts or just general discounts on your shopping.

The best thing about our discount schemes is that we accept anyone involved in the NHS and emergency services.  For example if you are a NHS janitor, NHS nurse or a NHS doctor you are all welcome on the discount schemes.  We believe all these roles help the NHS service function.  In recent months there has been high uptake in members from the NHS, achieved through our close relationship with NHS benefit schemes.  For further discounts and publications in the NHS please contact our team or your NHS discounts or improving working lives representative. 

We want to keep building our internal relationships with services and not just in the NHS.  We aim to provide all the services with personal and useful discounts, both national discounts and local discounts.  Listening to you we will build our discount schemes (suggestions already from the NHS Primary Care Trust in Nottingham and the NHS Primary Care Trust in Medway saw the introduction of local discounts).  We have already visited a number of NHS Trusts including NHS Medway, NHS Nottingham and NHS Derby to help spread the word of our discount schemes.
