Operation Autumn Gold

On Sunday 6th September Officers from Hastings Police and colleagues from the Coastguard Rescue Service and Hastings Borough Council Park Ranger service took part in a joint training exercise at Fairlight Country Park called Operation "Autumn Gold". The Officers, working closely with the other agencies were set a number of tasks designed to train them for searching for vulnerable or missing people in the Country park and along the cliff tops.

Sector Manager Nick Jury of HM Coastguard said "Members of The Coastguard Rescue Service were very pleased with the opportunity to work closely with Sussex Police in this exercise, which will certainly lead to a more coordinated response to future incidents in Fairlight and the surrounding area."
